7. Lamp life (Fig. 40)
On the function selection display, move the cursor with ▼/▲ (2.9) to select Lamp life and press ENTER (2.7).
- Move the cursor with ▼/▲ (2.9) to select Display Lamp life and press ENTER (2.7). The time of use of both
lamps will be shown. Note: It is recommended to replace the lamp when the time of use is higher than 1000 hours.
- Whenever replacing the lamp the time of use must reset to 0. For this, move the cursor with ▼/▲ (2.9) to
select Reset D2 life (deuterium lamp) or Reset W life (tungsten lamp) and press ENTER (2.7)

9. Lamp change point (Fig. 42)
This function allows setting the wavelength at which tungsten and deuterium lamp exchange. The wavelength of
change should be between 300 and 400 nm, any value out of this range will be invalid.
On the function selection display, move the cursor with ▼/▲ (2.9) to select Lamp Change and press ENTER (2.7).
Input the wavelength value by using the keypad (2.10) and press ENTER (2.7).

10. Version
To display the hardware and software versión of the equipment:
On the function selection display, move the cursor with ▼/▲ (2.9) to select Version and press ENTER (2.7); the
corresponding versión of hardware and software will be displayed.
Security
The spectrophotometer must be used by previously qualified staff that knows how the equipment works thanks
to the user manual.
You should put the spectrophotometer on top of a horizontal, plane, stable table, having a safety area of at least
30 cm per side.
Do not place the spectrophotometer near any warm supply (burners, blowlamps, etc), nor expose it directly to the
