USE
General directions:
•
Remove all packaging before using the
product for the first time.
•
Clean the tray and the basket with soapy
water, rinse with clean water and dry
thoroughly.
•
There should be enough space around the
appliance to let the heat escape.
•
Make sure there is enough ventilation.
•
Place the appliance on a stable and level
surface.
•
Do not obstruct the air intake and exhaust
openings during use; ensure that no curtains
hang against the appliance and do not cover
the appliance with a towel, cloth, etc.
•
NEVER put oil, fat or other fluids in the tray,
as this is a fire hazard!
•
Do not place your hand in the open and
Health Fryer while it is in operation, on
account of the hot and powerful airflow.
•
Do not touch the tray or the basket without
oven gloves while the appliance is in use,
nor shortly thereafter, as these parts become
extremely hot. After use, switch off the
appliance, unplug it and wait for it to cool
down.
•
When not in use, store the appliance in a dry
place.
9
•
Keep stored appliances out of the reach of
children.
Basic operation:
•
Insert the plug into an earthed socket and
allow the Health Fryer to preheat for approx.
3 minutes, (set the timer to 3 minutes). Once
this time has elapsed, the Health Fryer will
turn off automatically. Now, set the
temperature to 200°C.
•
Always use the basket and never prepare
food in the tray directly.
•
Place the food in the basket.
•
Place the basket in the tray and slide the tray
fully into the appliance.
•
Set the desired temperature.
•
As soon as the timer is set to the desired
time, the Health Fryer will begin cooking the
food.
•
The timer will count down automatically
and as soon as it reaches zero, the Health
Fryer will turn off automatically and a chime
will sound briefly. If you wish to stop the
process prematurely, manually turn the timer
to zero.
•
Remove the tray and basket from the
appliance and shake the contents into a dish.
Remove large or delicate items of food, such
as croquettes or fricadelle sausages, with a
pair of tongs.
•
Use the rack included to safely put the hot
tray to one side.
•
Start cooking more food, or clean the
appliance (see further on in this manual for
cleaning instructions). Remove the plug from
the socket before cleaning the appliance. If
the appliance is to be used to prepare a
second load of food or continuously, it does
not need to be preheated again.
•
During preparation, you can remove the tray
from the appliance by the handle in order to
give the food a shake. This is not essential,
but it will result in the food being more evenly
heated and browned. If you decide to shake
the food, do so approx. halfway through the
cooking time, for example.
Preparation:
•
The Health Fryer is suitable to prepare
all foods that may normally be cooked in
a convection oven. Food will often be ready
more quickly in the Health Fryer due to the
concentrated airflow and the compact space
in which food is prepared.
