operations. Do not pull from a ladder. If a snag or
resistance is encountered, a ladder could become
unstable which may result in a loss of balance or
control.
9. Before pulling wire through, be mindful of your
surroundings and potential nearby hazards to
yourself and others in the event the tape breaks
free during pulling.
10. Do not force a pull that has snagged or encoun-
terd a point of resistance. Instead, remove the
wire and clear the obstruction.
11. To retract the fish tape, move the control switch
to the retract position
retracting once the fish tape has returned to the
starting position. Continuing to retract further
could damage or break the drum.
12. If the tool shuts down during Feed:
a. Release the trigger.
b. Push the control switch to the Retract position.
c. Pull the trigger for 3-4 seconds.
d. Push the control switch to the Feed position.
e. Pull the trigger and attempt to feed again.
f. Repeat the above steps up to 5 times if
needed.
g. If tool continues to shut down during Feed, the
drum must be replaced.
13. If the non-conductive tape begins retracting into
the drum during Feed:
a. Release the trigger.
b. Push the control switch to the Retract position.
c. Grasp the tape just outside the drum using a
firm handshake grip.
d. Pull the trigger while applying tension to the
tape with your other hand as the tape pulls
back into the drum.
e. Release the trigger.
f. Push the control switch to the Feed position.
g. Pull the trigger and attempt to feed again.
h. Repeat the above steps up to 5 times if
needed.
i. If tool continues to retract during Feed, the
drum must be replaced.

MAINTENANCE
To reduce the risk of injury, always

unplug the charger and remove the
battery pack from the charger or tool before
performing any maintenance. Never disassemble
the tool, battery pack or charger. Contact a
MILWAUKEE service facility for ALL repairs.
Maintaining Tool
Keep your tool, battery pack and charger in good
repair by adopting a regular maintenance program.
Inspect your tool for issues such as undue noise,
misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts, or any other condition that may affect the tool
operation. Return the tool, battery pack, and charger
to a MILWAUKEE service facility for repair. After six
months to one year, depending on use, return the
tool, battery pack and charger to a MILWAUKEE
service facility for inspection.
If the tool does not start or operate at full power with
a fully charged battery pack, clean the contacts on
the battery pack. If the tool still does not work prop-
erly, return the tool, charger and battery pack, to a
MILWAUKEE service facility for repairs.
To reduce the risk of personal in-

jury and damage, never immerse
your tool, battery pack or charger in liquid or
allow a liquid to flow inside them.
Clean dust and debris from vents. Keep handles
clean, dry and free of oil or grease. Use only mild
soap and a damp cloth to clean, since certain clean-
ing agents and solvents are harmful to plastics and
other insulated parts. Some of these include gasoline,
turpentine, lacquer thinner, paint thinner, chlorinated
cleaning solvents, ammonia and household deter-
gents containing ammonia. Never use flammable or
combustible solvents around tools.
For repairs, return the tool, battery pack and charger
to the nearest authorized service center.
