- Respect the safety precautions
- Do not use the clamp on cables or conductors at a voltage of more than 600 V RMS (See Ch 5.3 Limits on voltage
measurements)
- Do not use the clamp on currents above 1000 A RMS (see Ch 5.2 Limits on current measurements)
- Ensure the correct positioning of the switch before any measurement
- Ensure that the jaws are correctly closed
- Use the safety leads (IEC 1010) supplied with the clamp

4.1 SWITCHING ON

By selecting the main function V AC, A AC, W AC, W AC 3Ø 3C with the switch, all the segments and symbols appear
for 1 second on the display and a "validate beep" is emitted.
NB : The initial configuration of the clamp is: auto off - buzzer on.
This configuration can be modified, by pressing one of the function buttons when switching on (see Ch 4.3.

Configurations).

4.2 AUTO/MANUAL OFF

The clamp switches off automatically after 10 minutes of operation in the following conditions :
- buttons not pressed
- selector switch not turned
- permanent operation switched off
The purpose of this function is to economise the battery, when you forget to reset to the OFF position after
measurements. The clamp emits a series of 5 beeps before going into "Sleep" mode.
Press any button (except HOLD) and the clamp "wakes up" in the initial configuration; the function of this "wake up"
button is not in this case taken into account.
NB : The switch also makes it possible to "wake up" the clamp, but it manages the main functions and any action
thus causes the loss of the previously selected function.
The return to the OFF position manually switches off the clamp, but keeps the "buzzer suppression" configuration
if it has been selected.
4.3 CONFIGURATIONS
To customise the diagnosis two configurations are accessible, by making a prior press and hold on one of the function
buttons when switching on. This prior press and hold makes all the symbols appear on the display. Next the symbol
corresponding to the configuration flashes for approximately 3 seconds. The new configuration is taken into account
after two short beeps, the button can then be released.

MAX/MIN + ON button: buzzer on again, i.e. return to the initial configuration
NB : HOLD + ON button: all the segments and symbols are displayed and remain present as long as HOLD continues
to be pressed.
4.4 DISPLAY BACKLIGHTING ( )
A press on the " " button lights the backlighting. A second press switches it off. Auto off is after one minute.
NB : Once lit, pressing a button or an action on the switch restarts the time it remains lit.
