Connecting the remote controller

If the location of the installation is not easily accessible, or for more comfort,
connect the HCW 23 remote controller.
Note: A remote controller can only control one HR 40. The remote controller
is connected to the HR 40 via the included HCV 23 cable type.
Important: The remote controller must only be connected when it is not
conducting current!
1. Remove the batteries from the HR 40.
2. Use a screwdriver to lever off the cover (A) on the right-hand side of the
control unit (see Fig. H).
3. Connecting the connecting lead:

4. Put the batteries back in the HR 40.
Changing the room temperature with the remote controller
With the HCW 23 remote controller you can change the selected setpoint
temperature by ± 12 °C. The range of adjustment of the HR 40 remains
8 – 28 °C. The

Connecting the power supply unit

The HR 40 can be supplied with power from the HN 40 power supply unit. For
installation instructions, please refer to the adapter manual.
