DUOX Amplifier Calling Codes.
The DUOX system uses 6 digit house terminal addresses. This provides a lot of flexibility
when numbering terminals in each country´s established numbering system. These call
code digits are organised as follows:
BBSSNN:
· BB indicates block number.
A block is a group with a maximum of 9999 residences. The value ranges from BB=00
to 99, so up to 100 blocks may be available.
· SS indicates sub-block number.
A sub-block is part of a block which you may want to sub-divide for organisational
purposes. This is equivalent to an MDS block. Each sub-block may contain 99
terminals and up to 100 sub-blocks (SS=00..99). A sub-block may be a building, a
story in a building or a housing complex area.
· NN indicateshouse number in the sub-block.
It may range from 00 to 99.
You do not have to segregate the installation according to this hierarchy since the system
adapts to the installation´s needs.
The outdoor panels may be configured as follows, (See «Outdoor panel configuration»):
· General Entrance [G]. This allows for a calling range from 000001 to 999999.
· Block entrance [B]. This allows for a calling range from 0001 to 9999.
· Sub-block entrance [S]. This allows for a calling range from 01 to 99.
Each panel may also have a different number on each block, sub-block or general
entrance, which goes from 0 to 9. The default value is 0.
· The house terminal´s address is encoded with 6 digits (calling code). The default value
is 000000, (this can´t be called from any outdoor panel).
· Panels with an address "0" in each block allow for communication with telephones
when picked-up if the communication line is free. Communication is established with
the "0" panel of the block corresponding to the telephone. If you do not want this
feature do not assign this address to any panels.
· A telephone with the address 000000 can not establish communication upon being
picked-up.
· If there are panels in the sub-block, no connection is made upon picking-up, only with
the block´s panel 0.
2 communication channels per block.
Calling a house from the Direct Panel. 6 digits.
Enter the house number via the keypad and press .
The last 6 digits entered before pressing are noted. Depending on the outdoor panel´s
configuration and the digits entered, you may make the call or not.
Upon programming each phone, it inherits the upper part of the address the outdoor panel
has assigned, if it isn´t a general entrance panel.
