• M ake sure that the housing, the power cord and plug do not come in
contact with water.
SAfETy INSTRUCTIONS - use
• Never use the appliance outdoors.
• Never use the appliance in humid rooms.
• P lace the appliance on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface where it
cannot fall.
• D o not let the power cord hang over the edge of the draining board,
worktop or table.
• M ake sure that your hands are dry when you touch the appliance, the
power cord or the plug.
• D o not pick up the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug
from the wall socket immediately. Do not use the appliance any more.
• S witch off the appliance and remove the plug from the wall socket
in the event of a malfunction during use, and before cleaning the
appliance, fitting or removing an accessory, or storing the appliance
after use.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
• N ever immerse the housing, the power cord or the plug in water or
other liquids.
• Make sure that the appliance has sufficient ventilation whilst in use.
• N ever move the appliance when it is switched on or is still hot. Switch
off the appliance and wait until it has cooled down before moving it.
• N ever switch on the appliance if it does not contain the necessary
quantity of
• O nly use fat or oil which is suitable for deep-frying. Do not use standard
margarine or butter.
• W hen filling the deep fryer with oil or fat make sure the level lies
between the minimum and maximum levels indicated by the "MIN"
and "MAX" marks in the inner pan.
• M ake sure that the food is thoroughly dry before you fry it. Moist
products can cause severe splashing of the hot oil or fat. To prevent
splashes, remove as much ice as possible from frozen food.
• Do not put too much food in the frying basket at one time.
• Thoroughly clean the exterior of the appliance after use.
• T his appliance may not be used through an external timer or by means
of a remote control.
• Never put the food in the unit during heating.
