Remove the connector from the hole at the
end of the backrest.

Attach the front end of the strap to the har-
ness group connector, passing it under the
base of the child car seat (Pic. 18).

Turn the spacer in the compartment under
the base.

Store the harness group in a safe place so
they may be reused if necessary.

To reattach the harness group to the child car
seat, repeat the steps carried out for removal
in the reverse order.
12.
Place the child car seat on the appropriate
seat in the vehicle, facing forward.
13.
Ensure that the backrest of the vehicle's
seat, if adjustable, is locked in the upright
position.
14.
Make sure the vehicle's seat is set to the fully
back position.
15.
Push the child car seat up against the back of
the vehicle's seat.
16.
Place the child in the child car seat and fa-
sten the safety harness, making sure that
both sections of the harness (lap and diago-
nal) are passed through the harness guide
on the armrest closest to the buckle of the
safety harness (Pic. 19).
17.
The diagonal section of the harness must
be passed through the harness guide of the
headrest, above the child's shoulders, but
without coming into contact with the child's
neck.

Tighten the diagonal section of the harness
by pulling it upwards until it is taut and make
sure the child is securely positioned in the
child car seat and on the vehicle's seat.
Adjusting the vehicle's seat belt
On this child car seat, the safety harness po-
sition is adjusted by moving the headrest up-
wards or downwards since the harness guide is
joined to it. When adjusting the headrest, make
sure the diagonal harness goes over the child's
chest, properly restraining the shoulders but
without resting on the child's neck.

Adjusting the headrest

Proper adjustment of the harnesses and he-
adrest will ensure maximum protection of the
child.
WARNING: the headrest can only be raised
after the two "P" buttons on the backrest's li-
ning have been released (Fig.5). To raise the
headrest: simply pull the handle located on the
upper part of the back of the headrest. (Pic.
20). To lower the headrest: use the lever (Pic.
20-1) on the rear of the backrest, moving it
downwards until it is properly adjusted (Fig.20-
2). Release the lever to lock the headrest in
the desired position. Always ensure the safety
harness is taut, pulling the diagonal part up-
wards and make sure it is not twisted. If the
safety harness comes into contact with the
child's neck or if it does not pass above their
shoulder, adjust the height of the headrest as
described in Pic. 20. Always make sure the
