1. Introduction
This installation manual shall be used in conjunction with the installation manual of the alarm con-
trol panel to which the HSM2955(R) is connected. Disconnect power and telephone line before
installing the module.
The HSM2955(R) Audio Alarm Verification Module provides 'Talk/Listen- in' capability for the
audio verification of alarms as well as up to 4 minutes of audio capture after an alarm event (check
with your distributor for availability). The central station can control volume etc. with telephone key
presses in accordance with the SIA Audio Verification protocol. The user can also remotely initiate
audio monitoring of the premises.
The module mounts in the main control panel cabinet (PC5003C, PC5006C for residential,
HSC3010C and HSC3020C for commercial) using existing mounting holes and the 5 stand-offs sup-
plied (see Figure 1: Installation). All programming can be performed at the system keypad or
remotely using DLS software (DSC panels only).
