Accidental engine start up can cause death or
serious injury. Except where specifically
recommended, ALWAYS stop engine,
remove key (electric start models), wait for
moving parts t ostop, allow parts tocool and
disconnect spark plug w ire before inspecting,
servicing, adjusting orrepairing unit.
Keep m ower free ofgrass, leaves, orother
debris build-up.
Keep e quipment ingood c ondition.
Maintain orreplace safety and instruction
labels, asnecessary.
Follow e ngine manufacturer's safety
instruction when s ervicing engine.
Check all h ardware atregular intervals,
especially blade a ttachment bolts. Keep a ll
hardware properly tightened.
An extension spring, when e xtended, stores
energy and can bedangerous. Always use
tools s pecifically designed forinstalling or
removing anextension spring. Always
compress orextend springs slowly.
Before tipping unit, remove fuel and battery (if
equipped).
Use extra c are when l oading orunloading
unit o nto trailer ortruck.
Ensure all w heel blocks, jack stands and tie
downs will s upport unit d uring maintenance.
Replace worn-out mufflers immediately.
Continued use could r esult infire or
explosion.
Sharp edges can cut o ramputate fingers ora
hand. Wrap b lade o rwear sturdy gloves to
service.
Only r eplace blades. NEVER straighten or
weld b lades.
Use o nly r eplacement parts designed foryour
