Charging the Batteries

Charge the batteries when the Battery Meter (5) indicator is in the
RED area while the brush and vacuum motors are on.
WARNING !
Do not fill the batteries before charging.
Charge batteries in a well-ventilated area.
Do not smoke while servicing the batteries.
Tip the solution tank to the forward, locked position to ventilate the
battery compartment. Push the connector from the charger into the
Battery Charger Connector (23) of the machine. Follow the charging
instructions on the battery charger.
CAUTION !
To avoid damage to floor surfaces, wipe water and acid from
the top of the batteries after charging.

Checking the Battery Water Level

Check the water level of the batteries at least once a week. After
charging the batteries, remove the vent caps and check the water
level in each battery cell. Use distilled water to fill each cell to the
bottom of the filler tube. DO NOT over-fill the batteries!
CAUTION !
Acid can spill onto the floor if the batteries are overfilled.
Tighten the vent caps. Wash the tops of the batteries with a solution
of baking soda and water (2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 liter of
water).

Carga de las baterías
Recargar las baterías cuando el indicador de nivel de carga (5) se
encuentre en el área roja, mientras aún funciona el motor del cepillo
y de aspiración.
¡ATENCIÓN !
No llenar las baterías antes de recargarlas.
Efectuar la operación de carga en un área con buena ventilación.
No fumar mientras se trabaje con las baterías.
Inclinar el depósito de agua limpia hacia adelante y asegurarlo en
esta posición, para ventilar el compartimiento de las baterías. Ajustar
a presión el conector del cargador con el conector de carga de la
máquina (23) y seguir las instrucciones de funcionamiento del
cargador.
¡PRECAUCIÓN !
Una vez terminado el proceso y para no dañar el suelo, limpiar
las manchas de agua o de ácido que queden en la cubierta de
la batería.
Comprobación del nivel de agua de las baterías
Comprobar el nivel de agua de las baterías por lo menos una vez a
la semana. Una vez recargadas las baterías, quitar los tapones de
los orificios de llenado y comprobar el nivel de agua en cada una de
las celdas. Emplear agua destilada, llenando cada celda hasta que
el nivel alcance el borde del tubo de llenado. ¡No sobrepasar NUNCA
este nivel!
¡PRECAUCIÓN !
Si se sobrepasa el nivel de llenado de la batería, el ácido que
hay en su interior puede verterse al suelo.
Apretar correctamente los tapones de los orificios de llenado. Lavar
la parte superior de la batería con una solución de bicarbonato sódico
y agua (2 cucharadas de bicarbonato por 1 litro de agua).
