more easily. CAUTION: Rotating blades are extremely dangerous, never put hands or feet
under the rotary cutter. Do not clean the attachment when the engine is running.
Maintenance: Keep the lawn mower blade well sharpened: the cut will be better and the engine
will not strain. Always tighten the fixing bolt well when fastening or removing the blade.CAUTION:
blades are cutting components, hold them with care and always wear safety gloves.
Check the gearbox oil level every 50 hours, removing the cap on the top, and make sure that the
oil level is within 50mms of the hole; if the level is lower add 80W/90 gearbox oil. Change the oil
once a year.
WHEEL SPACERS
These innovative screw spacers allow to expand the track and therefore improve the machine's
stability on slopes. They have to be mounted between wheels and hub and they expand the track
of 6 cm each side (fig. 12).
CUTTER BAR SIDE PROTECTION
It is used to prevent the cutter bar from bumping against walls or damaging trees. It is fitted at the
end of the cutter bar (fig. 13).
100 cm FRONT BLADE
This highly resistant device is ideal for removing snow and levelling mounds of soil or gravel. May
be tilted to the right and left (fig. 14). The front blade has to be connected on the attachment frame.
80 cm ORIENTABLE AND PIVOTING BRUSH
This brush
(fig. 16)
be attached to the machine following the assembling instructions of the cutter
bar. It is very useful to clean roads and squares. It can also be used to clean up 10-12 cm high
fresh snow and it can be steered left or right to make drifts.
The pivoting brush has to be connected
on the attachment frame.
IN CASE OF LONG IDLE PERIODS
Store the sickle-bar in a dry place, protected from bad weather conditions. Follow the instructions
included in the engine manual. If the machine is to be out of use for more than 30 days (models
with petrol engine), drain the fuel from the engine to prevent sticky residues from depositing in the
fuel intake system or in vital parts of carburettor. To avoid this procedure, it is possible to save fuel
in storage up to 12 months by using an appropriate fuel stabilizer. Add the such additive to the fuel
in the tank or in the fuel container. Run the engine for a while to let the stabilizer get into the fuel
system.
WARNINGS FOR TRANSPORT
Sickle-bars cannot be used on public roads. If the machine is to be transported on a lorry or a
st
trailer, lower the handlebar, engage the 1
gear, fasten the walking tractor to the lorry/trailer using
ropes or belts. If a lifting machine is used to lift the machine from the ground into the lorry/trailer
make sure its lifting capacity its suitable for the walking tractor.
