Too many sprinklers are operating at one time.
Verify the Central Control/Manual Operation is not exceeding the available flow capacity.
Isolation valves are not fully open.
Locate the Isolation valves and verify that they are fully open.
PRS-D is not adjusted properly
Adjust PRD-D as explained at the operation manual.
Obstruction in the pipe.
Isolate obstruction and remove.
Valve will not turn on electrically.
Controller not supplying power to valve.
Check the controller for output power to the valve. If no power is detected at controller, then service
controller. Check power input at the solenoid of the valve. If output is detected at the controller, but no
input is detected at the solenoid, then a power wire is broken or damaged. Isolate and repair.
Main water supply is turned off.
Ensure the pump station is operating or water supply is available.
Solenoid problem.
Verify power is present at Solenoid with a multimeter. If normal power input is measured and valve still
is not operating, then replace the solenoid.
Flow control stem is turned all the way down.
Adjust the flow control stem by turning it counter-clockwise until water flows through the valve, but do
not leave the stem in a full up position. While water is flowing through the valve, turn the flow control
stem (from the full up position) clockwise until resistance is felt on the flow control stem handle. Then
turn the flow control stem handle counter-clockwise one turn, as the valve will operate more effectively
with the flow control stem handle in this position.
External Leaks at PRS-D. Typically caused by improper O-ring seal between bonnet, cartridge, adapt-
er or solenoid.
Turn off water supply to the valve, and then unthread parts at the leak.
Wipe or blow parts clean, reassemble, then turn on water supply and verify proper function.
Internal leaks at PRS-D. Typically caused by loose solenoid. If tightening solenoid does not fix the
leak, proceed as follows.
Turn off water supply to the valve, and then remove solenoid and adapter and clean debris.
Unthread the PRS-D and check the rubber boot under the housing for tears or debris.
Check inside the solenoid bowl for damage to the white seat; a slight impression on top is normal.
Clean all parts and reassemble, then turn on water supply and verify proper function.
Excess Vibration at PRS-D. Main cause is excess air in the line or operation outside recommended flow
ranges (see T1). To purge the air, proceed as follows.
Keep water supply on.
Remove external bleed screw and let water flow for two minutes.
Open and close flow control handle a few times to remove air trapped inside the bonnet.
Reinstall parts, follow adjustment procedures and verify proper function.
