7.8 Program parameters without pyrometer (see 7.6)
Press the enter button for 5 seconds and the first parameter
starts to flash. When flashing it is possible to change the value
with the arrrow buttons. Press enter again and you can change
the next value and so on. Press 0 to go back without saving
parameters. Press 1 to save values. Pls see note 2.

Additional program mode information
Temperature control
The machine is equipped with automatic temperature
control. This enables optimum drying results with short-
est possible drying time.
For programming examples, see Chapter 11.
The temperature measuring device (pyrometer) measures
the temperature of a surface with a diameter that equals
30 cm (12"). For this, the distance between the IR
cassette and the workpiece must be set correctly (i.e. 60
cm). The distance to the object is measured in the centre
of the laser pointer.
Turning the pyrometer off can be an advantage if the
pyrometer is partly or completely measuring outside the
object or if the surface is difficult to measure (e.g. a thin
beam). To turn the pyrometer off, press + simultane-
ously when you are in menu 7.3.
Attention: When the drying program is completed the
pyrometer will automatically turn on again.
Attention: Always set the cassette so that the laser
pointer is positioned within the area to be dried. Oth-
erwise, the result may be vast differences between the
programmed values and the actual values. This can lead
to over burning on the painted surfaces.
Process alarm
(due to temperature deviations)
The process alarm function checks that the set tempera-
tures given in the selected programme are followed.
If the "temperature current" is lacking more than 30º
below "temperature requested" the message "Warning!
Process error" appears on the display and the system
switches off automatically. This warning has to be ac-
knowledged by pressing . This prevents problems such
as overburning on the painted surface.
In this case, check if the pyrometer is aligned correctly
to the surface to be dried and that it is not registering
the air temperature, for example. When aligning the
pyrometer, allow for the measuring surface with a 30 cm
diameter.
For small surfaces, e.g. columns, you will need to turn
off the pyrometer. To turn off the pyrometer, press +
simultaneously when you are in menu 7.3.
Attention: The process alarm function is not activated
from factory. Please see chapter 9.3 for activating.
