8 | Setup and installation
NOTICE
Material and property damage due to incor-
rect setup.
§ Place the appliance in a stable operating position
(horizontal alignment).
§ Only set the appliance down onto the feet when
the feet are completely assembled.
§ Do not expose the appliance to heat radiation at
the place of installation.
§ Do not expose the appliance to direct air condition-
ing or ventilation at the place of installation.
§ Do not install the appliance outdoors.
§ Pour approx. 1 litre of water into the rear defrost
water bowl before use.
Material and property damage due to accumu-
lation of warm exhaust air (heat accumula-
tion).
§ The exhaust air must escape freely at the top of
the appliance.
§ Superstructures or false ceilings directly on the up-
per edge of the appliance may only be installed in
consultation with the manufacturer.
§ A gap of at least 250 mm must be permitted
between the ceiling and any mounted marketing
placards in order that warm exhaust air can es-
cape.
§ Do not set down any objects on the appliance.
Do not cover the temperature display, safety notes, or
the rating plate [see } Chapter 3.2.1].
The minimum distance from the upper edge of the ap-
pliance to the ceiling is 600 mm.
The minimum distances to the boundary walls and to
other equipment are determined by the equipment feet
provided for this purpose.

For hygiene reasons, do not stick any advertising films
or other materials onto the appliance.

Installing the display shelves and mesh
baskets

CAUTION
Incorrect installation of the display
shelves or mesh baskets.
Risk of injury due to falling of the display
shelves holding goods or the mesh baskets.
§ Display shelves or mesh baskets must
fully engage in the openings provided
when inserted.
§ Note installation of the display shelves or
mesh baskets [see } Chapter 8].

display shelves.
§ Align the display shelves horizontally.
§ Align the mesh baskets horizontally.
Installing the display shelf or mesh basket
a) Attach the display shelf or mesh basket to the
openings in the rear wall.

Communication interface
The appliance features a communication interface
(bus connection). This interface can be used to con-
nect the appliance to a monitoring system.
Several appliances can be interconnected via the
communication interface. Depending on the appliance
type and configuration, it may be necessary to inter-
connect several appliances.

communication between appliances and with
the monitoring system.
§ Never break an existing bus connection.
Appliances can be connected using bus cables (op-
tional accessories).

Electrical connection
The operator establishes the connection to the power
supply.
