General Preparations:
1. Disconnect earth line from battery.
2. Install 8-wire cable set and socket.
3. Test functions.

For safety reasons, please first disconnect the earth wire from the battery before starting any work.
To ensure that no saved data is lost, we recommend that you use a stand-by current maintenance
device. (Please follow the instructions of the manufacturer)
2. Install 8-wire cable set and socket
Take out the end border of the loading space and both rear lights.
Open the storage compartments of the left and right side-covering of the boot.
Unfasten the left-hand-side interior trim at the rear of the luggage compartment, remove the car-jack
and the special tool-set.
Remove the right-hand-side interior trim at the rear of the luggage compartment and take off the
outer luggage compartment floor-trim (behind the right wheel arch).
In the floor of the luggage compartment underneath the right hand tail-light, there are two plastic
plugs; remove one of these and use the hole as a feed-through.
Lay the wire end set 8-pole with the pre-assembled socket connection from the boot to outside and
further through the hole in the holding plate for the socket.
Mount the pre-assembled socket insert, the 3-way socket housing (green) and the socket housing
supplied as follows on the trailer-coupling socket mounting-plate:
