TO ADJUST
BEVEL SETTING
(Fig. 10)
1.
Remove the battery pack from
the circular
saw when adjusting
the bevel setting.
2.
Loosen the bevel-adjustment
knob by turning
it counterclockwise.
3.
Raise the motor housing
end of
the saw until the indicator
aligns
with the desired angle setting
on
the bevel scale.

4.
Securely
tighten the bevel-adjustment
knob.

Attempting
a bevel cut without
having the bevel-adjustment
knob securely tightened
can result in serious injury.
0 ° BEVEL STOP
The saw has a 0 ° bevel stop that has been adjusted before shipment to ensure
that the blade is vertical to the base at 0 ° bevel cutting.
TO CHECK 0 ° BEVEL
STOP (Fig. 11}
1.
Remove the battery
pack from
the circular
saw when checking
O° bevel stop.
2.
Using a carpenter's
square
(available separately),
check that
the saw blade is square
(at a 90 °
angle) to the base of the saw.
TO ADJUST 0 ° BEVEL
STOP (Fig, 12)
1.
Remove the battery
pack from
the circular
saw when adjusting
the 0° bevel stop.
2.
Loosen the bevel-adjustment
knob.
3.
Place the saw in an
upside-down
position
on
a workbench.
4.
Using a Philips screwdriver
(available
separately),
turn the
0 ° bevel-stop
adjusting
screw
until the base is square with
the saw blade.
