5.4 Filling the tank
1. Only fuels that are dispensed at public filling
stations may be filled (max. ethanol content 15 %).
Attention!
Risk of explosion!
Avoid sources of ignition, such as
smoking or naked flame.
2. Pay attention to the horizontal alignment and
that the tank is adequately secured!
3. Make a conductive connection with the earth
cable between the tank and the transport
vehicle or the ground.
4. Unscrew the cap from filling opening . The
container may only be filled with a selfclosing
delivery nozzle! The fill level can be checked
by pulling out the dipstick .
5. The markings (notches) on the dipstick corre
spond to ¼ - ½ - ¾ of the tank content. For a full
tank, the fill level is visible on the filter cartridge
of the filling connection .
6. After filling, the cap must be screwed on tight
again.
7. Remove the terminal of the earth cable ,
roll up the cable and fix to the tank.
8. Contamination caused by the filling process
must be removed immediately with a dry cloth.
5.5 Filling
5.5.1 Generally
Ban on fire, naked flames
and smoking
i
Important!
Comply with the specified Exzone
(see section 1.2 and 1.3) and always
monitor the filling procedure.
• Tank ventilation and pressure relief are performed
automatically by the integrated ventilation
valve .
• Pay attention to the horizontal alignment and that
the tank load is adequately secured!
• The fill level can be checked by pulling out the
dipstick. The markings (notches) on the dipstick
correspond to ¼ - ½ - ¾ of the tank content.
For a full tank, the fill level is visible on the filter
cartridge of the filling connection .

5.5.2 Filling with electric pump
Attention!
Hazard from electric shock!
Ensure that the electrical cables /
connections are dry and clean.
i
Important!
The electric pump has a thermal overload
protection and a feature to avoid risks
caused by overload. The intervention of this feature
causes the pump to switch off automatically, but
does not deactivate the main switch. It is important
to switch the pump off using its switch. Once
normal operating conditions have been restored,
the pump can be switched back on. Should the
protective shutoff trip during normal operating
conditions, please contact the Technical Service.
1. For the version with flap lid, undo the flap lid
cam by pulling apart the fastening lugs on the
locking side. Fully open the flap lid.
2. Make a conductive connection with the earth
cable between the tank and the transport
vehicle or the ground.
3. Clamp the terminal clamps to a suitable
voltage source (see type plate for tank or pump).
Observe the colour coding:
• red = positive terminal (+)
• black = negative terminal (-)
When using a connection plug:
Insert the plug into the socket of a suitable
voltage source (see tank or pump type plate)
with Ex protection.
4. Open the delivery line ball valve .
5. Switch on the pump at the switch
