Changing the Blank Holder
In delivery condition, the Ceramill Motion 2 is

equipped with a 71 blank holder. For processing
varying materials, it may be required to use a dif-
ferent blank holder.
To change the blank holder:
▷ With the door closed, press operation button [A]
for at least three seconds.
The current tool is placed down. The blank
holder [2] moves to the change position.

▷ Loosen fastening screw [1].
▷ Pull off the blank holder toward the right (five-
axis model) resp. toward the bottom (four-axis
model).

▷ Clean the locating bore and surfaces.
▷ Check the pin on the blank holder to be mounted
and clean, if required.
▷ Insert the blank holder with the pin to the stop
in the locating bore.
NOTE:
Inaccurate working results or damage to the
blank-holder fixture possible!
▷ Tighten fastening screw [1] with a torque of
4 Nm.
The supplied torque wrench is set accordingly.
▷ Tighten fastening screw [1] with with the sup-

plied torque wrench.
▷ Briefly press operation button [A].
The machine advances to the starting position.

Checking the Model Area
The model area, on which the work is to be
machined, must fit within the contour of the
enclosed template (also see Match Package). Oth-
erwise, the work cannot be machined in the blank.
The template takes into account the shrinkage of
the zirconium oxide in the final sintering.
