OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PROGRAMS 6 and 7 - MODERATE BURN AND VIGOROUS BURN
The purpose of these programs is to get the user to train in a particular heart rate range.
The heart rate range of the program is determined based on the maximum heart rate (max.
HR) calculated based on the formula:
Maximum HR = 220 - user age..
For example, to calculate the target HR of a 30-year-old user for the Vigorous Burn program in
which the training zone is 80%, we use the following formula:
HR Target = [220 - 30 (user age)] x 0,80 = 152 B.P.M.
To use these programs, the panel must identify the user's heart rate. The user's heart rate can
be recognized through the use of the manual sensor or the chest strap.
PROGRAM 6 - MODERATE BURN (60 to 75% of the maximum heart rate)
The program helps the user to train in a heart rate range between 60% and 75% of their maximum
heart rate. Select the age (between 14 and 99 years) using the speed buttons (BUTTONS 9 and 10).
Confirm the selected age and start training using the START button (BUTTON 11). During training,
the user can increase or decrease the speed to influence their heart rate.
In inclined belt models, the incline can be increased or decreased automatically in order to
raise or lower the user's heart rate. The program notifies the user via the LED Matrix (FIELD 7)
of the texts "VEL+" and "VEL-" as a suggestion for the user to increase the speed reduction in
order to keep their heart rate within the program range defined by the program.
PROGRAM 7 - VIGOROUS BURN (75% and 85% of maximal heart rate)
The program helps the user to train in a heart rate range between 75% and 85% of their maximum
heart rate. Select the age (between 14 and 99 years) using the speed buttons (BUTTONS 9 and 10).
Confirm the selected age and start training using the START button (BUTTON 11). During training,
the user can increase or decrease the speed to influence their heart rate.
