Assemble the Cleaner
1. U se the nut to attach the feed hose to the
feed hose mast (feed pipe).
2. P ull out the bag and attach the Velcro strip
loosely around the feed hose.
3. Position the head float 1/2 to 1 inch back
from feed pipe.
4. T urn o n t he p ool f iltration p ump a nd a llow i t
to p rime b efore t urning o n t he b ooster p ump.
Check for Proper RPM

Before operating the Polaris, check for proper
wheel r evolutions p er m inute ( RPM). F or m aximum e fficiency, t he P olaris s hould o perate b etween 2 8 a nd 3 2
RPM.
1. Mark the single-wheel
side tire.
2. Turn pump on, hold cleaner
below water level and
count wheel revolutions
for 1 minute.
If count is less than 28 RPM:
•
Check the filter screen in the
Quick Disconnect for debris that restricts
water flow.
•
Clean the skimmer, filter and pump basket, clearing
debris that restricts water flow.
•
Check the hoses, connections and swivels for leaks that cause
loss of water pressure.
•
Remove the blue restrictor disk from the UWF.
•
If a n a djustable g ate v alve i s i nstalled o n t he b ooster p ump o r c leaner l ine, o pen i t c ompletely s o w ater
can flow freely to the Polaris.
If count is more than 32 RPM:
•
Replace t he b lue r estrictor d isk i n t he U WF w ith t he r ed r estrictor. I f t he f low i s s till t oo h igh, u nscrew
the p ressure r elief v alve u ntil t he p roper R PM i s r eached. N ote: T he p ressure r elief v alve s hould o nly b e
adjusted when a restrictor is installed.
