12 Disposal

Electric shock
Dangerous voltage due to defective cables.
• Check all live cables and connections for proper installation and damage.
• Replace any damaged, deformed or worn parts.
• Observe the information given in section:
3 Disconnect plug-in connections and mount back in the robot welding power source again
4 Remove the robot welding power source
5 Close the opening at the bottom side of the robot welding power source again with the housing cover.
12 Disposal
When disposing of the system, local regulations, laws, provisions, standards and guidelines must be
observed. Observe the regulations on the disposal of electronic scrap and dispose of it at your local waste
disposal site (e.g. recycling centre).
To correctly dispose of the product, it must first be disassembled. Please take note of the following
information:

BTC-50 coolant:
The coolant may not be disposed of together with normal household waste. Do not allow to reach sewers.
Please take note of the following information in the safety data sheet:
 Chapter 13 Disposal instructions
• 14 06 03: other solvent and solvent mixtures
• 15 01 10: Packaging that include residues of dangerous materials or are soiled by dangerous materials
• 15 01 02: Plastic packaging
Contaminated packaging:
Recommendation: Disposal according to the official regulations.
Recommended cleaning agent: water, if necessary, with added cleansing agents.
12.1 Materials
This product is mainly made of metallic materials which can be melted in steel and iron works and are, thus,
almost infinitely recyclable. The plastic materials used are marked in preparation for sorting and separation
of the materials for later recycling.
12.2 Consumables
Oil, greases and cleaning agents must not contaminate the ground or enter sewage systems. These materials
must be stored, transported and disposed of in suitable containers. Observe the relevant local regulations
and disposal instructions of the safety data sheets specified by the manufacturer of the consumables.
Contaminated cleaning tools (brushes, rags, etc.) must also be disposed of in accordance with the
information provided by the manufacturer of the consumables.
12.3 Packaging
ABICOR BINZEL has reduced the packaging for shipping to a minimum. Packaging materials are always
selected with regard to their possible recycling ability.
