COMMISSIONING THE DEVICE
red. 1 = lowest heating level, 2 and 3 = medium heating levels, 4 = highest heating level.
4. First choose heating level 4. After a few minutes, the heating pad reaches its maximum temperature. Now
you can switch the temperature back to a lower heating level.
5. Insert the battery into the battery bag (K) in the heating pad. Make sure that the male heating pad connector
(J) does not slip out of the female heating pad connector (H).
6. To switch off the heating pad, press the ON/OFF temperature button (F) several times if necessary until no
more indicator lights (E) are lit. Remove the male heating pad connector (J) from the female heating pad
connector (H) on the battery.
7. The heating pad is equipped with a safety thermostat that regulates the warmth and prevents the pad from
overheating.
Automatic switch-off
The battery-operated neck-and-back heating pad switches off automatically after approx. 90 minutes.
In order switch it on again, disconnect the battery from the power adapter if necessary and allow it to cool down
to room temperature. Then press the ON/OFF temperature button (F) and choose the desired heating level.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
No function
The control switches off
after a few seconds.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
•
Before cleaning the battery-operated neck-and-back heating pad, the female and male connectors and the
power plug must be disconnected from the power socket.
•
Remove the battery from the battery bag.
•
The heating blanket can be washed by hand or in the washing machine at 30°C using a mild
detergent.
•
Do not iron the battery-operated neck-and-back heating pad.
•
Please do not use any detergents containing chlorine.
•
Do not dry clean the battery-operated neck-and-back heating pad..
•
The battery-operated neck-and-back heating pad cannot be tumble dried.
•
Do no use any high-pressure cleaners.
•
Please ensure that the neither the battery nor the power adapter comes into contact with liquids. Liquids may
result in damage.
Cause
Battery empty
The heating pad is not connected correctly.
The heating pad has been switched off by
the automatic switch-off.
The temperature fuse has tripped.
The heating pad is not connected correctly
to the battery.
Troubleshooting
Charge the battery as described in the section on
"Charging the battery" or use the ARP-5.4 directly with
the power adapter as described in the section on "Using
the neck-and-back heating pad with a power adapter".
Check if the male connectors are firmly connected to the
respective female connectors.
Please proceed as described in the section on "Automatic
switch-off". If the ARP-5.4 does still not work, contact the
manufacturer.
If this fuse has tripped, the ARP-5.4 will not work
anymore. Contact the manufacturer.
Check if the male heating pad connector (J) is correctly
inserted in the female heating pad connector (H). If
necessary, insert it correctly
