ROUTING THE POWER CABLE
WARNING: This machine is equipped with a mains
cable and a moulded plug which satisfies the
regulations of the receiving country. This cable and
plug, if damaged, should only be replaced with
genuine Evolution replacement parts and be fitted
by a competent technician.
• Ensure that the cutting head is in the
down position.
• Ensure that the carriage slide is in its most forward
position and locked. (Fig. 16)
From the motor the mains cable should bypass the
front cable guide and then be routed rearwards
(Fig. 17).
The cable should be inserted into the rear cable
guide/clamp. Ensure the Cable Grip Component
is inside the cable guide when the cable
passes through.
This guide/clamp should then be fastened to the
rear sliding carriage cross piece (right hand side)
using the self tapping cap screw (included).
(Fig. 18)
Note: The cable should not be tight anywhere
along its length. (Fig. 19)
Raise and lower the cutting head several times
and also operate the sliding carriage. Check that
the cable does not become entangled with any
other parts of the machine. Check also that the
cable is not stretched during any of the operating
procedures. Secure the cable using the cable clip.
Note: The cable clip can be used to prevent the
cable becoming loose during storage or transport.
(Fig. 20)
