7. GROUNDING
The correct grounding is extremely important! Only then will your equipment function
properly and reach its full performance capacity. You should choose a place that is
as moist and overgrown as possible for the grounding. Galvanized metal poles with a
minimum length of 75 cm, e.g. Art. 44219, are used as ground rods. In dry soils and long
fences, place additional grounding rods at intervals of approx. 2 - 3 m to improve the
grounding. We recommend Art. 33615 as the connection cable between the earth rods.
If you ensure correct grounding, the VOSS.farming Xtreme reaches its full performance
level and you achieve the best possible security on the fence.
TIP: if the soil has poor conductivity, we recommend that you use 2 to 3 additional
grounding rods. Very dry or stony soils reduce conductivity.
TIP: please select a suitable location for your grounding system. Your grounding sys-
tem must be:
- at least 10 m away from other grounding systems, e.g. house grounding, telephone or
power lines.
- away from animal or traffic movements because your grounding system could be
damaged by animals or people.
- visible to you at all times for maintenance purposes.
If you install your power lines inside buildings always use insulated high-voltage cable.
