Automatic safety shut-off

The appliance is equipped with a time monitoring system for the cooking zones.
This system automatically switches off the cooking zone after a set operating
time, irrespective of the selected
settings.

─ If the cooking zone has been switched off by the time monitoring system, the H H H H
and 0 0 0 0 symbols flash alternately on the respective display.
The cooking zone can be switched on as normal.

Cooking zone overtemperature protection

Each cooking zone is equipped with an overtemperature sensor. If the sensor is
triggered, the cooktop automatically takes the following measures:
■ The cooling fan is switched to maximum speed as long as the temperature is
too high. If the cooking zone is set to high power level, it is switched off.
─ The P P P P symbol changes to 9 9 9 9 .
■ If this is not sufficient to cool down the cooking zone, it is switched off.
─ The H H H H symbol is displayed on the respective display.
