1 AWARENESS OF ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE - ESD

All electronic equipment is static-sensitive, some components more than others. To protect these
components from static damage, you must take special precautions to minimize or eliminate
electrostatic discharges. Follow these precautions when working with Voltage Regulators:
1.Before handling the Voltage Regulator, discharge all static electricity in your body, touching and
holding a metal object which is grounded (pipes, metallic equipment, cabinets, etc.).
2.To minimize the likelihood of static electricity accumulation in your body, avoid using synthetic
clothes. Use clothes made of cotton because they don't accumulate electric charges as synthetic
ones. It is recommended to use clothes and equipment proper to deal with electrostatic discharge
when handling this equipment.
