Health hazards caused by radioactive substances
Radioactive substances are released during welding and sharpening of tungsten electrodes
containing thorium.
• Use a suitable extractor unit.
To sharpen the tungsten electrode, use a sharpening device with a diamond disc.
• The point is sharpened longitudinally through the center axis.
• Automatic regulation of the tungsten electrode drive by gravity.
• Can be set for all electrode diameters.
• Offers continuous adjustment of the angle.
7.2 Basic cleaning
We recommend basic cleaning once a week. The type and frequency of cleaning shall be
determined and established by the system operator of the welding system.
