7. USE
7.1 TO USE THE MULTIMETER
Set the selector (5) to any position other than OFF.
7.2 TO STOP THE MULTIMETER
Manual stop
Set the selector (5) to OFF.
Automatic shutdown
Except in the HOLD, MIN/MAX or PEAK position, the multimeter
shuts down automatically 10 minutes after the last measurement; the
buzzer sounds (7 beeps) one minute before shutdown. Pressing any
button except SELECT starts a new 10-minute period.
Cancelling automatic shutdown
1.
Set the selector (5) to OFF.
2.
Hold down the HOLD button and set the selector (5) to any
position other than OFF.
The AUTO POWER OFF icon disappears and automatic
shutdown is deactivated.
Authorising automatic shutdown
1.
Set the selector (5) to OFF.
2.
Set the selector (5) to any position, other than OFF.
The AUTO POWER OFF icon is displayed and automatic
shutdown is activated.
7.3 TO MEASURE VOLTAGE AND FREQUENCY
Please read the safety recommendations before use.
Automatic measurement ranges: 4 to 600V AC or DC (4 ranges).
Frequencies: 20 to 4000 Hz (2 ranges)
1.
Set the selector (5) to:

to measure a DC voltage.

to measure an AC voltage.
2.
Take the voltage reading once it has stabilised.
For a DC voltage, the
icon (15) indicates reversal of the
contact points' polarity. "-----" indicates that the capacity has
been exceeded.
