8.4 Procedure for issuing goods from storage

When material is requisitioned by a downstream station, workpieces (black, red, silver, transparent) are
alternately picked by the pneumatic gripper and advanced to the downstream station with the help of the 2D
gantry.

9 Sequence description

Start-up prerequisite

No workpiece at the beginning of the conveyor belt

Chute filled with workpiece inserts
Initial settings

Conveyor motor off

Feed separator advanced

Suction cup up

Slide retracted

Vacuum off
Sequence
1. If a workpiece is detected at the beginning of the conveyor belt, the conveyor motor is switched on and
the workpiece is transported to the feed separator.
2. When the diffuse sensor detects the workpiece upstream from the feed separator, the conveyor motor is
switched off.
3. A workpiece insert is taken from the chute and inserted into the housing.
4. The conveyor motor is switched on and the feed separator allows the workpiece to pass.
5. The workpiece is transported to the end of the conveyor.
6. The presence of the workpiece is checked at the end of the conveyor and the conveyor motor is
switched off.
