Alarm groups
2.1.Radio alarm groups
The PROTECTOR Control Panel receives alarm, test and fault messages by radio and analyses them according to the program
settings. The PROTECTOR Control Panel cannot control, test or mute the radio detectors. Each radio detector can only be
programmed once and as a result can only be assigned to one radio group. The radio link is not monitored and the loss of a
detector is not detected.
Testing and disabling:
Select the appropriate alarm group with [ ] or [ ]
- [Test] allows you to test the selected alarm group or all alarm groups
- [Inaktiv] (inactive) switches off the selected alarm group
Programming:
Select the appropriate alarm group with [ ] or [ ] and confirm with [OK]
- [Name] allows you to enter a customer-specific alarm group name
- Each time you press the [Vorlagen] (templates) button, it calls up 10 different saved texts, which can be changed with
[ ], [ ], [ ], [ ] or accepted with [OK]
- [Melder] (detector) enables you to program, delete and name individual radio detectors.
[Melder] (detector) indicates the number of programmed radio detectors on the display.
Caution! Please refer to the relevant user instructions when programming the detectors! Before programming, you need to pair at least 2 detectors so
that you can start by setting up a radio group in the detectors. Failing this, you will be unable to program a radio detector into the control centre.
- [Typ] (type) defines the alarm group as shown when triggered. There is a choice between fire, house alarm, gas alarm, technical
alarm and evacuation alarm.
- [Delay] and [ ], [ ] sets the verification time in seconds. When activated, the verification time starts immediately and the control centre switches to prealarm state for the
duration of the verification time. Once the verification time has elapsed, the main alarm is triggered and the sounder activated. In addition, [Delay] must be activated for the
sounders in menu 3. Outputs. This gives the site operator the opportunity to check the alarm on-site and switch if off, where necessary, using [Akustik AUS] (acoustic OFF) before
the main alarm is triggered. If the verification time is 0s, the main alarm is triggered immediately.
