Step 4: Connecting a Rain Sensor
• Remove the jumper wire from the Rain Sensor terminals.
• Connect both Rain Delay Sensor wires to the terminals
marked RAIN SENSOR.
USER TiP:
To save water and money, install a rain sensor, such as
Rain Bird's RSD Rain Sensor, Rain Check Sensor or WR2 Wireless
Rain Sensor. A rain sensor measures rainfall and prevents unnecessary
watering.
If you decide not to use a Rain Sensor with the timer, leave the
STOP
wire jumper in place that connects the 2 terminals; timer will not
work if wire jumper is removed and sensor is not connected.
Step 5: System Check Out
To make sure each system is wired
correctly, cycle through each ZONE
using the WATER NOW feature:
• Turn the dial to the test ZONE and press WATER ONE ZONE NOW.
• The ZONE will start watering for a default 10 minutes.
• Use the Up/Down arrows to adjust the start time and watering durations.
• To stop watering before the time is up, turn dial.
• Repeat on next ZONE until all have been checked.
If the system doesn't check out, refer to the trouble shooting
STOP
tips and then call 1-800-RAIN BIRD (1-800-724-6247).
