3.1 Preliminary checks

Check the dimensions of the up and over door, the type of installa-
tion, the use limits of the gearmotor, and the necessary accessories.

3.2 Geared motor installation

-
Remove the automation from its packaging.
Warning: the plastic parts are inserted but not fixed.
-
Remove the courtesy light [2], the casing [3] and the bottom
casing [4], then separate the gearmotor from the base plate
[7] by loosening the screws [A].
-
Fix the base plate [7], respecting the measurements indi-
cated in fig. 3-4-5.
Warning: using appropriate spacers or BOXSL, arrange a
solid fastening surface for the gearmotor at the height of
the frame of the up and over door.
-
If using the BOXSL fastening plate:
- fix the BOXSL on the up and over door;
- insert the gearmotor with the base plate [7] on the BOXSL
and fasten it with the 2 screws supplied.
-
Fix the accessories, as shown in fig. 6-7-8-9.
-
Fix the corner-joint onto the upper frame of the up and over
door, in line with the motor arm, as shown (fig.11A).
If it is not possible to assemble the corner-joint on the upper
part of the up and over door, refer to fig.11B.
Warning: the dimensions of the poles, the position of the tran-
smissions, and the wall coupling for the corner-joint for resting
the arm must be established so that the motor arms do not
collide with the support arms of the up and over door. When it
is impossible to avoid the clashing with the tilting arm (with the
motor arms straight), use the curved motor arms BOXB2C.
After installing the motor(s) on the up and over door, release the
motor and check the door can be easily moved by hand. If the up
and over door is too heavy, it is essential to increase the weight
of the counterweights until the frame is fully balanced.
For up and over doors with L>2700mm, it is necessary to extend
the transmission shaft, using the accessories BOXA and BOXG.
For wooden up and over doors, use the accessory BOXAV1.
If the arms are not long enough, use the extensions BOX2P.
If you want to release the motor from the outside, using the key
