16. Simultaneous observation in Phase Contrast + Fluorescence (B-510FL only)
► This microscope allows observation in transmitted light Phase contrast in combination with reflected light
Fluorescence. Samples with rapid decay must first be observed in Fluorescence and then in Phase Contrast.
The combined observation allows you to easily identify some areas of the sample that emit fluorescence.
1.
Turn on the power supply for the HBO fluorescent bulb and wait 5 minutes before the arc stabilizes.
2.
Move the filter selector to an empty position or, if the filter holder is complete, to the position containing the UV filter.
3.
Insert the desired PH lens and rotate the phase contrast condenser turret to the position containing the corresponding
phase ring.
4.
Focus the sample.
5.
Adjust the light intensity of the transmitted light.
6.
Move the fluorescence filter selector to the desired position.
7.
To obtain the proper observation of the sample, adjust the light intensity of the transmitted light to modulate the
intensity of the fluorescence with that of the phase contrast.
