USING ThE chARGER fOR ThE fIRST TIME

Connect the charger to a 12 V lead-acid battery or to the 230 V mains power supply unit, No.
8539. Ensure correct polarity when connecting (red = positive/black = negative).
The menu language can now be selected from this display. The available languages can
be selected one after the other with the '+' or '-' buttons. In doing so, there are the following
options available:

• English
• French
Language selection must be concluded by pressing the ENTER button. The start display
shown above will then appear.

WORKING DISPLAy

This display keeps the user informed of all the essential data during a charging or dischar-
ging operation. The top line shows the status indicator, i.e. the type of process ('C' for
charge, D' for discharge, 'F' for finish, and - with Lithium batteries - 'B' for balance). The
