7.3 Changing the water

In order to obtain consistently good
results when cleaning and boiling out
models, the wax dissolved in water
should be removed regularly (once a
week, more often if used more fre-
quently). Do this by setting the tempera-
ture controller (24) to 0 °C or switching
off the device and allowing it to cool
(ideally overnight).
The wax dissolved in the water auto-
matically collects as a layer on the sur-
face. After removing the flask baskets
and support plates (55), this layer can
be scooped out along with any other
impurities floating on the surface.
When giving the device an overall and
thorough cleaning (min. once a week,
more frequently if used more often), the
device can be switched back on again
after scooping out the wax layer and
preheated to 65 °C.
The water inside the device can be
pumped off using the discharge hose
supplied. Do this by removing a spray
tube (47) (see next section) and estab-
lishing the tube/Labormat SD con-
nection with the aid of the bayonet
coupling attached to the tube. Place
the other end of the tube in a drain
(e. g. sink).
Activate the pump with the aid of the
timer (18) or hold button (15). The
water is automatically pumped off until
3–4 cm sediment remains on the base.
The heavily-soiled residual water is not
pumped off but rather discharged via a
drainage valve (42) located on the base
50
of the water tank. Fully open the lower
front cover (5) (magnetic catch) and
drainage valve (42) using the red shut-off
valve. The residual water flows off and
is collected in the collection basin (54)
underneath. Remove rough deposits
and deposits adhering to the inside
of the water tank and rinse the device
with a little water. Close the drainage
valve (42). Detach the collection basin
(54) from the device and dispose of the
waste water. Fill with fresh water as far
as the maximum mark outlined in the
section on „Filling with water".
Important: Only dissolve Unisol W
in cold water; high water tempera-
tures cause foaming.

7.4 Cleaning the spray tubes

rities to penetrate the spray tubes (47)
