Labormat TH
11. Operating the Labormat TH
11.1 Filling with water
Open the lid of the device (4) and
remove the flask baskets (optional)
and support plate (55). The rear wall of
the water tank features an angle mark.
This indicates the maximum permissible
water level.
Important: Never fill the device
above this mark. Overfilling can
cause leaks in the pump system
which in turn causes water to be
discharged.
There are two ways of filling the device:
1. Manual filling
Use a suitable vessel (e. g. bucket) or
water hose to fill the requisite water
volume (approx. 15 litres) directly into
the heating basin through the opening
in the device.
11.2 Establishing operational readiness
1. Press the red main switch (14) in the
control panel (7) to activate the power
supply. The pilot light integrated in the
switch lights up indicating operational
readiness of the device.
2. Set the rotary knob (19) on the thermo-
stat (22) to the requisite water tempera-
ture. Important: The Labormat TH
pump does not work until an
operating temperature of 65 °C
has been reached. This reliably pre-
vents wax deposits in the pump housing
and spray system thereby preventing

2. Fixed connection
A water supply hose (item no. D1017E)
available as an option connects the
Labormat TH directly with the water
line (shut-off valve required). Unscrew
the seal nut at the back of the device
and firmly connect the supply hose with
the lock nut on the water inlet (top left
on rear of device). Connect the other
end of the connection hose to the water
line directly via a shut-off valve. Open
the shut-off valve and fill in water as far
as the maximum level. Replace the sup-
port plate (55) and flask baskets (acces-
sories, please refer to page 31) in the
device and close the lid (4).
functional faults. When the pre-set tem-
perature is reached, the yellow pilot
light (17) in the control panel stays on.
It takes approx. 20 minutes to heat the
water to 65 °C.
It takes approx. 40 minutes to heat the
water to 95 °C.
