Use
A ventilated charcoal barbecue works by
adding air to the � re, making it faster to
ignite and prepare the charcoals.
Open the lock clamps (8) and remove them
from the lock arms (2) on the barbecue rack
(1).
Lift the barbecue rack from the barbecue
casing (7).
Remove the charcoal holder (4) from the
barbecue. Remove the lid (3) from the
charcoal holder and � ll with charcoal until it
is full. Do not use briquettes or other forms of
fuel. Replace the lid on the charcoal holder.
Add a 10 mm thick ring of ignition gel to the
tray (5) in the marked ring.
Switch the ventilator on by turning the
button (9) clockwise to the MAX position.
The indicator light will come on when the
ventilator is switched on.
Ignite the ignition gel using a match or
barbecue lighter.
Once the ignition gel is well alight, replace
the charcoal holder in the barbecue.
If the ventilator is switched off during start-
up, the barbecue will not light correctly.
Insert the barbecue rack into the barbecue so
that the lock arms are lined up with the lock
clamps on the casing.
Place the lock clamps on the lock arms on
the barbecue rack and tighten them so that
the rack is held in place.
The barbecue will be ready for use in 5-10
minutes.

Place the food on the barbecue rack. The
heat on the rack will vary, so it is best to vary
the heat eff ect by moving the food around.
You can adjust the heat by turning the
ventilation up or down using the button (9).
The closer the button is to the MAX position,
the hotter the barbecue will be.
Switch off the ventilator by turning the
button anticlockwise to the OFF position
once you have � nished cooking.
Cleaning
Clean the barbecue after every use.
Allow the barbecue to almost cool
completely so that it is still warm when you
clean it.
Remove the barbecue rack. Lift out the
charcoal holder and tray. Remove the
re� ector from the casing.
Wash the barbecue rack and re� ector in
warm water with a little washing-up liquid.
To remove burnt-on food, soak the rack
in soapy water, and then scrub with a soft
sponge or similar. Rinse with water and apply
cooking oil before using again.
Empty the charcoal holder and remove any
residual ash with a brush.
Wipe all parts thoroughly and reassemble
the barbecue.
Wipe the outside of the barbecue with a well-
wrung cloth and then dry off with a dry cloth.
Store the barbecue in the carrying bag (13)
in a dry, dust-free location out of direct
sunlight.
Remove the batteries from the battery
compartment if the barbecue is not going to
be used for a prolonged period.
