6 Putting into operation

6.1 BRS-LCi PLC cleaning station

1 Move the torch with the gas nozzle vertically to the tool axis over the BRS-LCi PLC (1).
2 Move into the clamping position (2). The cylindrical part of the gas nozzle must have even contact with the clamping
prism. This prevents the torch from twisting when clamped.
3 Loosen the motor clamp (4).
4 Move the motor and the guide block to the lowest position (5).
5 Put the appropriate distance sleeve (6) onto the reamer.
6 Keep the guide block in the lowest position and move the motor (with the distance sleeve attached) up against the gas
nozzle (7).
7 As the BRS-LCi PLC is set up in a depressurized state, to remove the distance sleeve, the gas nozzle must first be moved
out of the clamping position (2) again.
6.2 Injection jig
The injection process is started when the corresponding 5/2 directional valve is actuated.
Injection occurs via XS1:2 for as long as PIN2 is subject to 24 V.
NOTICE
• Inflowing compressed air sucks in the anti-spatter fluid and mixes it with the compressed air flow (Venturi principle).
Recommended residence time: approx. 1 sec.

6.3 Wire cutting device (DAV)

NOTICE
• The DAV has an external control unit and is not controlled via the control box!
• The valve for the DAV is only provided if specifically ordered and must be installed by the operator.
It can be attached to the injection valve island.

1 Use the free wire end to move the torch into the cutting area of the wire cutter so that the wire is in contact with the fixed
jaws and the gas nozzle is positioned directly over the cutter (3).
2 Program the positions and commands as shown in the flow chart.
