3 - Operating principles

The regulator takes a sample of your pool
water, automatically adds a patented
reagent, «AMICHLORYTE®» and com-
pares the colorimetric variation of the mix-
ture to determine the chlorine concentration
of your pool.
Depending on the configuration and on the
frequency of use of your pool, you choose
the chlorine concentration necessary for
desired disinfection, leaving the machine to
run the chlorine production systems.
Analyses are carried out every 30 minutes
when the chlorine concentration is below
the set point, and every 2 hours when this
concentration has been attained.
It is possible, as well, to change this fre-
quency (see paragraph
Every time a set point is changed, a new
analysis is carried out.
If there is a significant difference with the
previous measurement, the machine car-
ries out a new confirmatory analysis.
After each analysis, the machine will trigger
the chlorine production system (salt gener-
ator, dosage pump, solenoid valve) or not,
depending on the set point.
4 - Precautions to take before
switching on for the first time
If installing this machine in the case of a
pool that is already chlorinated (Cl > 5
ppm), decrease the chlorine concentration
(Cl < 5 ppm) before turning on the machine.

-
Check that the pool has not been
treated with hydrogen peroxide or with
hydrogen peroxide-based anti-algae
treatments in the three weeks preceding
the installation. If it has been, then post-
pone the commissioning for the same
amount of time.
-
Adjust the pH between 7.0 and 7.4.
-
The chlorine stabilizer concentration
should be between 20 and 50 ppm (except
for indoor pools).
-
Adjust the TA (rate of total alkalinity)
between 12° and 18°F.
-
The water temperature in the pool
must be 18°C or above, for optimal
machine measurement.
-
Salt concentration:
Recommended: 4 g/l.
Minimum: 3.5 g/l.
-
If you use a chlorine dosage pump,
remember to size the pump in relation to
the volume of pool water and frequency of
pool use.
The "injection" model is delivered with a
chlorine pump:

0 to 30 m

-
30 to 500 m

Compatibility :
Make sure that the construction materi-
als (of pool and surrounding areas) are
compatible with the use of chlorinated
and salt water.
