4. Attaching the connecting rod
WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and a lapse of 5 minutes or more.

5. Adjusting the belt (when M92 is used)

1) Insert connecting rod ❶ into installing hole B in
pedal lever ❷ and fix the rod with spring washer
❹ and nut ❸ .
2) Installing connecting rod ❶ to installing hole A
will lengthen the pedal depressing stroke, and the
pedal operation at a medium speed will be easier.
1) For the adjustment of the belt tension, turn verti-
cal nut ❶ of the adjusting bolt to adjust the height
of the center of the motor so that the belt sags
by approximately 15 mm when its center part is
pressed down by hand (with a load of 9.8 N).
(Caution) When the belt tension is excessively low,
medium or low speed rotation becomes
uneven, or stop accuracy is deteriorated.
When the tension is excessively high, de-
terioration of the motor is advanced. So,
be careful.
