Installation

4 Installation
Before assembling and commissioning the Solar Kit, the
installation should be controlled so as to make sure their
working conditions are within the sphere of the Solar
Kit's operations.
The Solar Kit shall be installed according to the diagrams
shown in the present manual, taking into account the
applicable standards in effect.
It is mandatory to connect the equipment to
an entry point for cold water.
4.1

Location

B Assemble the Solar Kit close to the appliance
supporting the thermal solar system.
B Do not install outdoors.
No freezing is to occur at the installation
site.
If there is a risk of freezing
B Shut off and empty the solar kit and the water heater
associated with it.
After a period when freezing occurs, if the appliance is
turned on once again without having been previously
emptied, check to make sure that hot water can be
drawn. Should you have problems, please contact an
accredited technician.
4.2

Attaching

B Remove the solar kit's plastic cover.
B Attach the base in such a way as to keep it horizontal,
by using the screws, metal washers and bushings that
are provided.

B Remove the water covers that are provided on the
Kit's 5 connections.
B Connect the appliance using suitable accessories.
B Loosen the screws that are inserted at the base of the
solar kit, in order to insert the plastic cover.
B Place the plastic cover.
B Adjust the tightness of the 2 screws on the cover, so
that the cover is firmly in place.
WARNING:
Never rest the Solar Kit on the water
connections.
WARNING:
When attaching the support to the wall,
keep in mind that there may be water pipes
present!
4.3 Interconnecting with an existing
installation

The Solar Kit is interconnected with the existing
installation, as per the legend shown above and using
suitable flexible hoses:
At connections no. 2 and 5 rubber washers
need to be used.
