Counterweight Installation into Freestanding
Lateral Files
1.
Remove top and bottom drawers (see page 2).
2.
Remove one side of adhesive backing and apply to flat
side of the counterweight and away from hole.
3.
Place counterweight on bottom of cabinet with:
- Slotted side down.
- Counterweight hole flush to back of unit.
- Locate inside of cabinet leveling glides.
4.
Remove second side of adhesive backing. Double
check position, then rotate counterweight up and against
back of cabinet. The last counterweight is placed in
horizontally against the others.
CAUTION: DO NOT allow tape to contact back panel until
in proper position. The adhesive used is very strong and
may result in visual damage to the cabinet if you attempt to
remove the counterweight.
5.
Reinstall lateral drawers (see page 3).
