Fuel and Oil

Oil supply (A)
• Place the machine onto a flat and leveled surface.
• Turn and remove the oil tank cap.
• Use 4-stroke motor oil. Using SAE 10 W/30 motor oil for
general use in any temperature is recommended. As shown
in the table below, other viscosities can be used when the
average temperature in your vicinity is within the indicated
range.

• Set the cap back and remove it to check the oil level in
the cap rod.
• When the tank is full with oil up to the right level
indicated in the rod, tighten the cap to prevent leaks.
CAUTION
• Do not exceed the maximum oil level.
It causes the muffler to expel a lot of smoke when the
motor starts.
• Check oil level before each use. If
CAUTION
necessary, add oil up to the limits of the rod in the oil
measuring cap.
CAUTION
• Replace oil after 20 hours' operation or
each season. When dust or dirt conditions are high, it
might be necessary to make an oil change more often.
Operation in high altitude
• In high altitude, the air-fuel mix in the standard carburetor
will be rich in fuel. Performance will be low and fuel
consumption will be high.
• Performance while operating in high altitude could
improve if the carburetor is regulated adjusting the main
bolt. The generator is adjusted to operate in altitudes
higher than 6000' above sea level. If noticing the generator
is not operating efficiently visit a
Authorized Service Center to make the
appropriate modifications to the carburetor.
• Even though the carburetor has an adequate injection,
the motor power will diminish approximately 3,5 % per
each 1000 feet increment, after 6890 feet above the sea
level. The potency reduction will be higher if no
modifications are carried out in the carburetor.
WARNING
• The excessive air mix in the fuel can
cause low performance, overheating and severe damage to
the motor, If the generator is being operated in an altitude
inadequate to the carburetor adjustment.

Fuel Supply (B)
• Place the machine onto a flat and leveled surface.
• Clean and wipe dry the area around the fuel cap.
• Remove the fuel cap.
• Using a funnel, slowly fill-up the fuel tank up to the
lower side of the tank "neck". Do not overfill to allow the
fuel to expand and prevent leakages.
• Wipe clean any fuel spills.
• Close the tank turning the cap until hearing a click.
• Wipe clean any fuel spilled before starting the machine.
