Protection equipment for welding
WARNING
• Use a welder's face mask to protect
eyes and face when working with the welding machine.
Double check the face mask shadow lens is the adequate
for the soldering process to be carried out.
CAUTION
• Use special leather soldering
gloves, as well as leather leggings and dungarees.
• Wear robust clothing and long sleeves made of flame
resistant materials like wool or leather.
• Use special insulated screens or drapes to secure the work
place, and protect passersby from the sparks, glare or slag
originated by the welding process.
• Benches and work tables where the work piece rests shall
have orifices or vents that allow residues from the
soldering process to pass easily.
To prevent electric shocks
CAUTION
• Verify the output and input cables have a
safe connection, properly insulated and the connections in
good repair (double check and eliminate any
possibility of short circuit).
CAUTION
• Double check the machine has a
reliable ground connection.
CAUTION
• Do not expose the machine to rain or
humidity conditions.
CAUTION
• Keep yourself insulated from the work
piece and ground. Step on insulated and dry mats.
DANGER
• By no reason touch the welder both
circuit poles (rod and work piece).
WARNING
• Do not try to adjust the welder current
when soldering.
CAUTION
• Connect the ground clamp onto the
work piece as close as possible to the welding zone to
prevent current from flowing long distances thus eliminate
the possibility of a short circuit.
WARNING
• The work piece shall make
contact with the connection clamp before operating the
welder. Do not disconnect before finishing the soldering
job. The operator may receive am electric shock and
severe injuries.
To prevent fire and explosion
CAUTION
• Always keep handy an
extinguisher in good conditions.
WARNING
• There shall not be flammable
materials or explosives in the work area (no less than 36
feet away). Do not carry out soldering jobs in places where
sparks can reach or fall onto flammable
or explosive materials.
CAUTION
• Prevent sparks entering into dark cracks
or places.
WARNING
• Do not weld sealed containers.
• Do not weld onto flammable surfaces.

Safety Warnings
for Arc Welders
To prevent health risks
WARNING
• Vapors and gases produces during the
welding job are dangerous to your health. Work in well
ventilated places or with adequate ventilation. Do not
breath in the emanations coming from the welding
process.
DANGER
• If ventilation is poor use an adequate
autonomous breathing device. The protection gases
generated from welding can displace air and cause a fatal
accident.
CAUTION
• Do not operate the welder near
degreasing agents, cleaners or aerosols. Heat and radiation
involved in the process can react with vapors forming toxic
gas.
CAUTION
• Avoid welding on metal covered with
lead, zinc or cadmium. These materials generate toxic
gases. Otherwise, remove the covering from the welding
site. Double check the area is well ventilated or use an
adequate autonomous breather.
WARNING
Welding can cause a
dangerous magnetic field:
• Keep people away from the welding area.
• When soldering, the electrode holder cable and the
ground cable shall stay in the same side of the operator.
• When welding, never ever tie any of the welding cables
around the operator's body.
Prevent injuries and accidents
• Never allow unexperienced people
CAUTION
disassemble or regulate the welding machine.
WARNING
• Double check both the operator and
the machine are out of the way of sparks and residues
originated by the soldering process.
• The machine shall be operated in a place protected from
sun and rain. Away from places where violent vibration
occurs.
• The machine shall be stored in a dry place with
temperature ranging from 14 °F to 104 °F.
• There shall be 20" free space around the machine to
allow good ventilation.
CAUTION
• Double check no foreign metal object sits
inside the machine. To prevent obstructing the heat
elimination, do not set objects onto the machine.
WARNING
• Any problem regarding the machine
soldering process, which cannot be solved by the operator
making the proper adjustments, shall be solved in a
Authorized Service Center. By no
means try to open the machine cover to carry out any type
of maintenance.
WARNING
• Power in a welder is always high.
Caution measures shall be observed before carrying out
repairs. Prevent an electric shock!
• Keep away from the machine moving parts.
• Secure all the machine cabinets, covers and protection
guards. Stand in a secure position.
