5. CLEANING THE PUMP

Clean the pump with a damp cloth only so as to avoid accumulating electrostatic
charges.
Periodically check that there are no deposits of any type inside the pump and specifically in
the area of the stator.

6. TEMPERATURE CLASS

The temperature class varies according to the temperature of the fluid being pumped; the
operating conditions are specified below.
Permitted ambient temperature variation: -20
Maximum value permitted for fluid process temperature: see Table 1 shown below.
In view of the permitted variation range of the ambient temperature, fluid process
temperatures other than those shown in Table 1 do not permit compliance with the
reference temperature class in addition to causing damage to the pump.
Where the user envisages exceeding the temperature limits in Table 1, a protection
device must be fitted on the system that is certified in compliance with directive 94/9/
EC and that prevents the following temperatures from being reached (see Figure 3):

T = 440
C FOR CLASS T1
°
T = 290
C FOR CLASS T2
°
T = 190
C FOR CLASS T3

T = 125
C FOR CLASS T4
If the safety device is installed, the corresponding information on the temperature
class replace the values shown in Table 1.
