• When a disc is loaded, " " is displayed on the
display for several seconds while the data on the
number of tracks and total playing time is being read
from the innermost side of the disc, after which the
number of tracks and total playing time appear.

playback stops at the point where the button
was pressed.

playback resumes from the

• If no disc is loaded, if the disc is upside down, or if the
data cannot be read properly due to scratches or dirt,
the display reads as shown below and the disc will not
play.

Various Playback Functions

q Press the DIRECT button.
w Press the button corresponding to the number of the
track 8. "8" appears on the track number display and
playback of track number 8 begins.
• When the end of the track is reached, playback continues
on the next track.
• To specify a track number of 11 or greater, say track 15,
