9. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering spare parts
Danger!
Pull out the power plug before carrying out any
adjustments, maintenance or repairs.
9.1 Cleaning
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean
cloth or blow it with compressed air at low
pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device
immediately each time you have finished
using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these could at-
tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensu-
re that no water can seep into the device. The
ingress of water into an electric tool increases
the risk of an electric shock.

There are no parts inside the equipment which
require additional maintenance.

9.4 Adjusting the tension of the V-belt
(Fig. 23/ 24)
Check regularly whether the V-belt (53) is suffi ci-
ently tensioned. If the tension is too low you can
re-adjust it:
The height of the motor unit (2) can be adjus-
ted by means of the slot in its holder.
Slacken the two 6 mm socket head screws
(54) and press the motor unit (2) downwards.
(This product does not come with a 6 mm hex
key)
Once the V-belt (53) has the necessary tensi-
on, re-tighten the 6 mm socket head screws
(54).
Caution! After the tension has been adjusted
you must make sure that the motor shaft and
the shaft of the lower blade pulley (7) are par-
allel with each other.
If this is not the case, use the two adjustment
screws (55) to correct the tilt of the motor unit
(2).

10. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to pre-
vent it from being damaged in transit. The raw
materials in this packaging can be reused or
recycled. The equipment and its accessories are
made of various types of material, such as metal
and plastic. Never place defective equipment in
your household refuse. The equipment should
be taken to a suitable collection center for proper
disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of
such a collection point, you should ask in your
local council offi ces.
