5.6
Continuity measurement (Ω)
1. Set the rotary switch to <Ω> (fig. 2, pos. 9).
2. If necessary, set the resistance of the measurement
leads to zero. To do so, short-circuit the
measurement leads and press <Test>. The zero
symbol (fig. 5, pos. 10) appears on the LCD and
a value of 0.00 Ω is set.
i
The buzzer function key (

appears on the LCD when the buzzer is active. The
continuity threshold is set as standard to 2 Ω and
the maximum current level to 20 mA. These values
can be altered in the SETUP menu. As standard, the
buzzer is deactivated on switching on the FSA 050.
3. Connect the measurement leads or the remote
sensor to the circuit to be tested.
 The result of the continuity measurement is
displayed.
i
The current level displayed is the actual current
level used during the test. This is governed by the
resistance of the circuit to be tested.
5.7
Resistance measurement (kΩ)
1. Set the rotary switch to <kΩ> (fig. 2, pos. 8).
2. Connect the measurement leads or the remote
sensor to the circuit to be tested.
 The result of the resistance measurement is
displayed.
5.8
Capacitance measurement (µF)
1. Set the rotary switch to <µF> (fig. 2, pos. 7).
2. Connect the measurement leads or the remote
sensor to the circuit to be tested.
 The result of the capacitance measurement is
displayed.
5.9
Storage of measurement results
After completion of an insulation analysis, the
measured result remains on the LCD display. During
this period, the result can be stored in the FSA 050. For
capacitance, resistance and continuity measurement,
the measured result must be saved during the
measurement.
1. Check whether the measurement result is still visible
on the LCD.
2. Press <STORE> (fig. 3, pos. 1).
 The measurement result is stored.
 The saved measurement result is assigned a num-
ber which is displayed for one second.

Display of stored measurement
results
All the measurement results stored can be displayed on
the FSA 050.
1. Set the rotary switch to <RCL> (fig. 2, pos. 5).
 The number of the measurement result last
stored is displayed.
i
If no results have been stored, three dashes appear
on the LCD.
2. If several measurement results have been stored,
the function keys  (DAR/PI/t) and  (µA/s/V)
can be used to select the number of the desired
measurement result.
3. Press <
/OK> to display the measurement result.
 The measurement result for the displayed num-
ber is shown.
 Press <μA/s/V> to display multiple results on the
LCD display.
4. Press <
/OK> to return to the number of the
measurement result.
Display of stored t, PI and DAR values
If the stored result relates to a PI or DAR test, there
will be several measurement results available. Use the
function key  (µA/s/V) to consecutively display all the
measured values (e.g. t1, t2, voltage, resistance).
5.11
Deletion of stored measurement
results
It is possible to delete either individual or all stored
measurement results on the FSA 050.
5.11.1
Deletion of individual measurement result
1. Set the rotary switch to <DEL> (fig. 2, pos. 5).
 The measurement result last stored is displayed.
i
If no results have been stored so far, three dashes
appear on the LCD.
2. Press <
/OK> to delete the measurement result.
 The measurement result for the displayed num-
ber is deleted.
3. The next measurement result can then be deleted in
the same manner.
