Horizontal use (falle on edgde possible)
Comply with the assembly direction of the lanyard
described on the labels.
After a fall, the energy absorber lanyard must be
decommissioned immediately .
(visible tearing of absorber)
Any other configuration is only authorized
for vertical use
General information concerning use:
The residual force due to the impact depends on the
weight and the height of fall. The energy absorber
is manufactured so that the forces generated by the
shock are less than the thresholds, that is 6 kN.
The maximum length of an Automatic Retracting Fall
Arrester is 2.70m, including all the karabiners, and it
must not be lengthened.
The product can be used as temperatures induded
between -30°C and +50°C.
Allow for the fall factors:
Depending on the position of the anchorage points, a
distinction is made between 3 fall factors:
- At fall factor 0, the anchorage point is above the
user.
- At fall factor 1, the anchorage point is level with
the shoulders of the user. (Height of fall < 1 x
working height)
- At a fall factor 2, the anchorage point is at the
feet of the user (Height of fall < 2 x working
height)
Work carried out with a fall factor of 2 is particu-
larly dangerous and should be avoided, if possible
choosing an anchorage point located higher up (see
figure 2).
It is essential to allow a clearance of 6.75 m (minimum
working height) under the user for work with a fall
factor of 2.
